About Debugging GTM

Welcome to Debugging GTM - technical GTM experiments for 0 → 1 dev tools.

GTM for dev tools demands serious technical depth and creativity. While great GTM teams stretch no-code tools to their limits, I prefer building my own: scrappy experiments that give us an edge, custom demos that feel personal but scale, and automation that amplifies what already works.

What to expect:

  • GTM systems and workflows I've built

  • Deep dives using Val Town, Clay, n8n, PostHog, TypeScript, SQL - code included!

  • Stories from working directly with customers

  • Cross-functional experiments bridging GTM/product/engineering

  • What's worked (and what's failed)

About Charmaine

I’ve built developer tools my entire career (TEDx talk, Figma blog). Whether titled PM or SWE, I've always operated at the intersection of both.

At Val Town, I'm learning: when AI makes everyone a builder, great GTM wins. This newsletter is my journal!
